Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association Executive Board Appoints New Executive Director: Kat Anderson


Northwest Arkansas, September 5th, 2024 - The Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association (NWA HBA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kat Anderson as its new Executive Director, effective Thursday, September 5th, 2024. This decision comes following the departure of Shana Kasparek from the organization. Kat Anderson brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the NWA HBA, having previously served in roles that demonstrate her commitment to the home building industry. Alongside Kat, Amy Gober has been appointed as the Marketing & Events Director, contributing her expertise to further enhance the association's outreach and communication efforts. NAHB Lauds House for Extending NFIP and Government Funding, Urges Senate to Act Now

  Sep 30, 2023  Alicia Huey, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and a custom home builder and developer from Birmingham, Ala., issued the following statement after Congress approved H.R. 5860, the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2024 and Other Extensions Act, legislation that would fund the government and the National Flood Insurance Program for an additional 45 days: “NAHB commends the House for acting in a bipartisan manner to pass H.R. 5860, legislation that will fund the federal government and the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) for an additional 45 days. NAHB has worked tirelessly with lawmakers to make them aware that even a short-term disruption to the flood insurance program would force delays—and in some cases, cancellations—to home sales and multifamily transactions that require federal flood insurance under the NFIP.
